Everton were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes of the Merseyside Derby but it was a penalty that had commentators and everyone watching thinking “What was he supposed to do?”.
Jamie Carragher was absolutely flabbergasted while Everton ere awarded the penalty. Dominic Calvert Lewin barrelled down the pitch and was able to take a shot with Trent Alexander-Arnold diving in to try and block the shot.
Alisson saved the ball but spilled it out with Calvert-Lewin looking like he was going to tap the rebound in. The English striker then tripped over the young right back and referee Chris Kavanagh immediately signalled for a penalty.
It didn’t take him long at the VAR monitor to confirm what he already thought, but do you agree with Chris? Is a penalty the right decision ro was there nothing Trent could do?
"I'm not sure what he's supposed to do!?"

Fans were confused about the decision but if he stopped a clear goal chance then it’s only fair that Everton get a penalty.
