Aleksandar Mitrovic had his penalty ruled out because of a very rare and bizarre rule.
Fulham lost to Newcastle on Sunday afternoon in a game which they could’ve won.
Eddie Howe’s side had to rely on substitute, Alexander Isak to snatch a late 1-0 win at Saint James’ Park. But Fulham could’ve taken the lead earlier in the contest when Mitrovic stepped up to take a penalty.
Unfortunately for him and his team he slipped at the last second and the ball bounced off his other foot before hitting the back of the net.
The striker wheeled away in celebration before the referee pulled him back to deliver the bad news.
