Tipperary All-Star forward John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer is an injury doubt for the Premier County ahead of their Munster semi-final against Limerick on Sunday.

The Irish Daily Mirror have reported that the star forward picked up an ankle injury during a training camp at Carlton House over the weekend.

O’Dwyer, 23, is one of the best forwards in the game and he lit up the hurling championship with some dazzling displays last summer. Scan results are expected with the ‘Premier’ supporters hoping for positive news about their ace attacker.

In other news, Cathal Barrett also remains a major injury doubt for Tipperary ahead of their opening championship game at the Gaelic Grounds.

Barrett, was crowned young hurler of the year in 2014 but his recovery from a shoulder injury picked up in April is taking longer than expected.

Other players also struggling for fitness include the experienced Thurles Sarsfields duo of Michael Cahill and Lar Corbett.
