Golf legend Tiger Woods is currently in hospital recovering from a serious car crash he was in on Tuesday in California but according to the BBC his career could be in doubt.

Woods’ playing career has hit another serious setback after the devastating injuries he suffered in Tuesday’s shocking single vehicle car crash in southern California.

Woods has undergone a long surgical procedure on his right leg and ankle after suffering multiple open fractures in a serious car crash in California report Sky Sports.

Woods was in serious car crash in California on Tuesday and the chief medical officer of the hospital he was taken to said: “Open fractures affecting both the upper and lower portions of the right tibia and fibula bones were stabilised”

The 45-year-old is now “awake, responsive and recovering in his hospital room.”

There is a long road to recovery ahead of Woods but the legendary golfer has come back from serious injury and surgery before.

Woods had four back surgeries, including a fusion procedure, before winning the 2019 Masters, his 15th major title.

One person in particular who is rooting for Tiger is Skip Bayless who told his three million Twitter followers: “Tiger Woods, a golfer, has suffered more injuries to more body parts than most NFL players I’ve known.

“If ANYone can come back from horrible leg/ankle injuries, and win again, even another major, it is Tiger Woods. All-time mental/physical toughness. Pulling for him.”
