Popular stat website WhoScored has released its best Premier League XI for the recently ended 2020-21 season based purely on stats.

The site’s top 11 is calculated based on an overall score, with one being the lowest and 10 the highest.
The site’s scores have been averaged over the duration of the 2020-21 campaign.
The line up includes a handful of surprise selections.
Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Emi Martinez is the best overall performer in England’s top-flight and is joined by a back four featuring two Man United players, Burnley’s James Tarkowski and Man City’s Joao Cancelo.
In midfielder, Man City dominate alongside Man United’s star midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
In attack, top goalscorer Harry Kane lines up alongside Aston Villa’s new-boy Ollie Watkins.
