A ‘supercomputer’ has predicted the outcome of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign – and it’s sure to raise a few eyebrows.

The Premier League campaign has sprung a few surprises already. The impressiveness of Everton under Rafa Benitez, the unshakeable bravery of new-boys Brentford and the utter disappointment across North London.

According to the data, interpreted by a so-called ‘supercomputer’, there’s plenty more surprises on the horizon.

Said supercomputer has predicted Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea to win the league by a landslide… with Brentford beating Manchester United to the final Champions League qualification position.

West Ham have been backed to qualify for the Europa League once again, with all three of Leicester City, Tottenham and Arsenal enduring difficult and disappointing campaigns.

Can you imagine the riots on the streets of Manchester if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fails to qualify for the Champions League having signed Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo? It’d be extraordinary.

Burnley, Southampton and Norwich City make up the bottom three, which is perhaps the most plausible part of the table. We wouldn’t bet any considerable amount of money on this being anything like the eventual outcome.
