Deadline day is shaping up nicely for fans of both Liverpool and Tottenham, with reported interest from both clubs in Germany’s young sensation Max Meyer.

Liverpool were believed to be interested in the Schalke midfielder earlier in the summer, but reports suggest that Tottenham have now entered the race to sign the 20-year-old.

A £38 million offer is reported to be on the table for Meyer, who Pochettino hopes can challenge fellow starlet Dele Alli in an attacking role.

The Germany international has made over 100 appearances in all competitions for Schalke scoring 19 goals during his time in the Bundesliga.
