Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has been victim to a group of robbers who broke into his house in Blundellsands on Friday evening according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.
Police were called to his house on Friday night after an incident in which a group of men approached his home but were disturbed by Carlo’s daughter and the they fled the scene.
Police have stated that a safe was stolen from the property during their raid. Rumours that the robbers were carrying knives and Ancelotti was held hostage have now been squashed.
Ancelotti was not believed to be at home during the time of the robbery, just his daughter who is reportedly safe and sound now.
The Merseyside Police released a statement looking for information on the suspects who were seen wearing black balaclavas and black waterproof clothing.
The incident took place between 6:30pm and 6:35pm on Friday the 12th of February.
