Hasim Rahman Jr kept his promise and weighed in on Friday in his bid to prove that the Jake Paul fight should not have been cancelled.
Rahman Jr was supposed to be stepping into the ring to fight Paul after it became clear that Tommy Fury would not be able to travel to the U.S.
However, the fight was cancelled after Paul’s team claimed that Rahman Jr was not convinced he’d be able to make weight for the fight.
Rahman Jr has contested those claims and insisted that he would weigh in as previously planned to prove to Paul that he could’ve made weight.
Rahman Jr kept his promise, sharing a video of him on the scales in his gym, while ultimately ‘only’ being 1.5lb over the required weight.
BREAKING: @_HasimRahmanJr weighs in at 206.6lb on the day he was supposed to make 205lb to fight @jakepaul.
He tells @MirrorFighting he still wants a fight with Paul, and that he would have accepted the hit to his purse that missing by 1.6lb would have caused. pic.twitter.com/qAnruzg44c

Rahman Jr quite clearly could make 205 lbs if he needed to in order to fight Paul. There’s something rather fishy going on here…
