More details have been published by The Sun regarding the rape arrest of an internationally renowned Premier League footballer.
News broke on Monday evening that the international footballer was arrested at an address in Barnet, North London on suspicion of an attack which allegedly took place last month.
The player could not be named for legal reasons, but the information that was released sent social media into a rather inappropriate (and illegal) whirlwind as fans attempted to decipher the alleged culprit.

As per the report, the Premier League footballer accused of rape was sleeping as six police cars turned up at his Barnet mansion and slapped the cuffs on him, before bringing him into custody.
The alleged attack is understood to have occurred at a Mediterranean holiday destination, with the accuser having shown the police photos of bruising on her body, insisting they came as she was raped by the player.
The player is understood to have already begun pre-season training with his club, but there is now obviously a major question mark as to whether he will be jetting off on their pre-season tour as investigations continue.
