Phil Foden has reportedly TRIPLED his wages by signing along the dotted line on a new contract with Manchester City.
Foden has graduated from a promising young player who was being protected by Pep Guardiola into one of the world’s leading attackers.
On Friday, it was announced that he would be given a new contract to reflect that status, as he extended his deal with Man City until 2027.
As is reported by The Sun, Foden has also been handed a substantial pay increase, one which could see him triple what he was on previously.
The report claims that Foden will now be banking as much as £200k-a-week with Man City, making him one of the highest-paid players in his age group.
Considering his achievements with Man City in recent years, though, and the fact he’s only 22, it’s easy to justify from the club’s perspective.
England fans will be hoping that his new deal will see him head into the World Cup with a spring in his step – ready to make the difference.
