Jake Paul has reignited his feud with Tommy Fury, insisting that he never wanted to fight him in the first place.
Paul was originally due to fight Tommy Fury, the half brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, on December 18th. However, the former Love Island finalist pulled out of the bout with a broken rib.
The YouTuber was subsequently forced to offer Tyron Woodley a second bite at the cherry, and while the fight flopped at the box office, it was another explosive knockout for Paul to add to his showreel.
Unsurprisingly, Fury is still keen to make the fight and secure the payday. After all, a broken rib saw him miss out on what would have been the biggest cheque of his boxing career.

Paul, though, is not keen on giving him that second chance. Instead, he wants to see Fury fight Woodley, the man who he has beaten two times on the bounce.
Jake Paul asked if he’ll reschedule the Tommy Fury fight: “He’s delusional. He missed his opportunity. I want him to fight Tyron Woodley, I think Tyron would knock Tommy out. Go get some of your own fans or clout, and then maybe we could run it back.” [@MMAFighting]

That would add a rather mouthwatering fight to Paul’s next fight undercard, while also giving Fury the chance to prove to his rival that he CAN promote and create ‘hype’ around a fight, something he was criticised over ahead of the December 18th date.
Let’s wait and see how Fury responds.
