Surprise competitor enters the running to sign Paul Pogba this summer

Manchester City are plotting a SHOCK summer swoop for out of contract United star Paul Pogba, according to the Daily Mail.

Pogba is out of contract with Man United at the end of June. For some time it has looked unlikely that he would be extending his day. We are now dealing in certainties – Pogba will be leaving Old Trafford for a second time, having achieved nothing.

The Frenchman came to the Premier League on a world-record transfer in hope of taking the league by storm. However, he has been unable to play his best football in a Man United shirt, even so long into his stay with the Red Devils.

His departure has felt inevitable for some time, with the expectation being that he would sign for any of Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid. A new competitor has reportedly entered the race to sign him, however.

As per the Daily Mail, Man City are plotting a surprise move to sign Pogba on a free transfer this summer. It’s safe to say that would cheese off a fair few people at Old Trafford. On that basis – make it happen!
