There were farcical scenes all around the country on Sunday as some sporting events were cancelled, where as others went ahead when they probably shouldn’t have …

Galway were playing Offaly yesterday in one of the pre league tournaments and wouldn’t you know it, but the game was called off. Both managers Henry Shefflin and Johnny Kelly were called in by the referee to be told that the game was being abandoned 15 minutes into the second half.
