Former Offaly Hurler Slams The GAA – Over ‘Disgracrful’ Decision

The former Offaly legend Brian Whelahan was watching the Munster Minor Hurling final between Clare and Tipperary last night at the Gaelic Grounds. It was a cracking game of hurling which ended up going to penalties, a ‘disgraceful was to finish any hurling match’ said the Birr man.

And it was, this is something that we don’t want to see creeping into the game of hurling, this is more of a soccer thing than a GAA thing. The game should have had a reply the following week and common sense should have prevailed, awful was for under 17’s hurlers to learn of defeat.
