Neymar is considering walking out on his national team after their shock defeat to Croatia on Friday.
Croatia surprised the world when they upended tournament favourites Brazil after a nail-biting penalty shootout. Nobody expected the South American side to go out in the quarter-finals and it’s clearly been a bitter pill to swallow for all the players.
Neymar scored his 77th goal for his country, levelling Pele’s record but stating that he isn’t “100 percent convinced” that he will come back.
🎙️ Neymar: “My last World Cup? I do not know. It’s not a good idea to talk now. But I don’t guarantee anything either. It looks like a nightmare, I can’t believe what’s going on. This defeat will hurt for a long time to come”.

“I want to take time to think about the national team and think about what I want for myself. I am not closing the door on the national team, but I am not saying 100 percent either that I will come back.” Neymar said.
“I feel really bad at this moment. It is hard to take in everything that has gone on. It seems like a nightmare. I just can’t believe what has happened.
“I will now have to take comfort from my family – but this defeat will hurt for a long time.”
Neymar is only 30 years old and still has another World Cup in him, although the loss is painful now, four years is a long time.
