Republic of Ireland defender Alex Pearce was asked one of the strangest questions of his career today.
It all began as a run-of-the-mill post-training chat as Pearce spoke to reporters about the upcoming qualifier with Scotland, alongside Hull’s Robbie Brady.
The topic of the conversation soon moved onto the involving Ireland manager Martin O’Neill and assistant boss Roy Keane – and in a rush to get his question in, one of the reporters made a very unfortunate slip of the tongue – and hilarity ensued!
Back to the drawing board with that question!
