Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne has left been forced to leave the clubs USA tour after picking up a cruciate ligament injury which will see him out of action for at least 6 months.

It’s the second serious injury to keep the 28 year old sidelined after he missed most of the 2017-18 with a persistent back injury during which time Trent Alexander-Arnold established himself in the clubs starting right-back.

Clyne will begin his rehabilitation immediately which is expected to last at least 6 months which will see the right-back out of action for a total of 14 months since joining the club.
