Nate Diaz was involved in the backstage altercation with one of Jake Paul’s team on the night of his win over Anderson Silva.
Diaz has long been considered a potential opponent for Paul, who is yet to take to the ring against what many would consider a ‘real’ boxer.
He himself has made no secret of dipping his toe into other sports, likely in a bid to fill his bank to the brim before calling time on his career.
Following his release from his UFC contract, Diaz has seemingly ascended to the top of the list of Paul’s next opponents, so it’s no surprise he was there last night.
Diaz did his very best to ensure that it’s he who gets that fight, too, having been involved in a scrap with one of Paul’s entourage behind the scenes.
Diaz appeared to slap Paul’s breathing coach. It’s not clear how and why tempers flared, but the incident was (thankfully) caught on video…
