The former Kerry footballer and manager Mick O’Dwyer passed away this morning at the age of 88. The man led Kerry to unbelievable success as a player and a manager and will go down as one of the all time greats of the game of Gaelic football.
The GAA have lost a true legend today and some of tributes have been pouring in for the Waterville native.

Absolute privilege to have shared Mick O’Dwyer’s company on a number of occasions, a rogue even in his latter years.
Told me he was lucky to have been born in Kerry, but it was Kerry who was lucky that Micko was born here.

Will never be another, Stands way out on his own as the greatest manager the game has seen for me but often over looked that he won 4 all Irelands as a player as well and a player of the year award.
