News broke on Saturday that Mbappe had decided against joining Real Madrid and would instead be extending his contract with the French champions.
Irrespective of how much PSG have presumably offered him to stick around at the Parc des Princes, Mbappe staying is a seismic moment for football.
It could be a changing of the guard, with Real Madrid no longer having ultimate player pull, or it could represent footballer’s lust for not only cash – but power.

According to reports, Mbappe has signed along the dotted line with PSG on the proviso that they will rid themselves of fellow superstar Neymar this summer.
