An injury crisis is developing at Manchester City ahead of a pivotal run of fixtures, as is reported by The Sun.

Man City are the reigning Premier League champions, so were tipped by many to go all the way in the league again this campaign.

Their start to the 2021/22 campaign has been by no means disastrous. Their stalemate with Southampton at the weekend left them with 10 points after five games.

However, if Pep Guardiola is looking ahead to the fixtures on the horizon and keeping the problems within his squad in mind, he may well be growing a little concerned.

As is reported by The Sun, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko are all carrying injuries, with Benjamin Mendy also suspended.

That is a potentially crucial run of games to ensure that Man City are in the hunt both domestically and in Europe. Pep could really do without any injuries right now.

The damage done to the aforementioned players varies from case to case, so some will be fit to involved and others will have to sit out.

Man City fans will be crossing their fingers that they make it through their next four fixtures unscathed.
