John Kiely and his Limerick squad have just been dealt a massive blow with the news that their captain and one of their main men Declan Hannon is out of the All-Ireland hurling final set to take place this Sunday.
The man who skippered the Shannonsiders to all four of their Liam MacCarthy triumphs since 2018 has not been included in John Kiely’s match-day 26 this weekend.

No Declan Hannon, even in the 26.
It's more serious than just a knock on the knee – no way they would have issued a statement that time if that was all it was. https://t.co/cJWaidmGpq

.@LimerickCLG captain, Declan Hannon, has been ruled out of Sunday's All-Ireland Final against @KilkennyCLG as both counties name the same teams that were triumphant in the semi-finals. #GAABelong

It’s going to make for a cracking game on Sunday between two great hurling counties, if Limerick manage to win this one now. It will be one of the biggest wins ever for the Treaty county. No Sean Finn and now now Declan Hannon, their captain. Kilkenny have to go for this now and try and stop Limerick from doing four in a row.
