According to Ladbrokes the current bookies favourite to replace former Leicester City manager is his fellow Italian Roberto Mancini.

The former City manager seems the clear favourite to succeed Ranieri with odds of 7/4 being given.

Rumours of a return for Nigel Pearson have been circulating after talk of a number of senior players apparently wanting their former boss back started filtering out after Ranieri’s departure.

According to Sky Sports, Leicester have approached Mancini who guided Manchester City to trophy success twice by winning the FA Cup in 2011 and the club’s first Premier League title in the 2011/12 season.

Mancini was sacked by the City after losing touch with his players towards the end of the 2012/13 season with his last game in charge being an FA Cup final defeat to Wigan.

The Italian, played for Leicester City on loan in 2001 and has taken charge of both Galatasaray and Inter Milan in recent years and even tweeted about Ranieri following his departure form the defending champions.
