Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice is expected to make a number of changes for the eagerly awaited clash with Cork on Saturday evening.

These great rivals produced a classic encounter in and a dramatic equaliser from Fionn Fitzgerald rescued the Kingdom in injury time.

Eamonn Fitzmaurice is expected to make changes for Cork clash.

Fitzmaurice is one of the great tacticians of modern times and his defence will certainly need to tighten up from the last day.

Much was made before the drawn game about the strength of the Kerry bench but a number of substitutions failed to curb a rampant Cork.

Cork’s Alan O’Connor put in a towering performance at midfield so Fitzmaurice is likely to include Anthony Maher from the throw-in alongside David Moran.

Bryan Sheehan is likely to retain his position but Colm Cooper may be held in reserve again. Other defenders who may start include Aidan O’Mahony or Paul Murphy.

Cork manager Brian Cuthbert is likely to stick with the team that started the last day with Patrick Kelly pressing hard for inclusion.

Paul Kerrigan looks certain to start following his black card with Kelly pushing Fintan Goold for the final berth in the Cork attack.
