All Ireland winning manager Joe Kernan is the latest figure to be quizzed on the picked up by Dublin footballer Davey Byrne recently.
The Armagh legend feels that the Central Competitions Control Committee should examine the ‘whole video’ of the incident which took place against his native county over two weeks ago.
Kernan, who is currently trawling the country in his role as Ireland manager, was speaking at the launch of the Dynasties exhibition at the GAA museum.
“Of course it was very serious but if they are going to look at it, look at the whole video and see what happened, see how it started.
“These things happen every now and again and there was an injury and now that it has been brought to attention it is going to be looked at.
“But I think both counties wanted to put that to bed and sometimes that’s the best thing. Whereas if it comes out in the open you don’t know what’s going to happen.”
GAA president Aogan Ó Fearghail was questioned earlier in the week about the high profile incident and he insisted that any challenge game must apply full disciplinary procedures.
Byrne suffered a broken nose and facial injuries in the row which was believed to have started before the ball was thrown-in.
