Anthony Joshua broke down in tears at the post-fight press conference after losing to Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.
Joshua was knocked off his heavyweight throne back in September after losing to Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Britain’s golden boy stepped into the ring with Usyk once again last night in their much-anticipated rematch, hoping to win back what he believed was rightfully his.
However, it was sadly more of the same for Joshua, who was beaten on points by Usyk once again. The Ukrainian is quite clearly a level above AJ.
Naturally, it was difficult to accept for Joshua, who felt as though he hadn’t done himself justice across either of the two fights with one of the pound-for-pound greats.

Still, Joshua faced the media in wake of the fight, with his feelings still very raw.
Joshua, as he reflected on the defeat, was overcome with emotion and appeared to break down in tears, covered by his hat, while addressing the press.
It’s not often we’ve seen AJ lower his guard to this extent. You can tell that last night’s loss really hurt him…
