The former Derry footballer and All-Ireland winner Joe Brolly has been sharing his opinions on the bonfires that took place on the 12th of July up in the North of Ireland. Some of the pictures and video floating around were disgraceful and full credit to some of the Unionist leaders for calling these images out.
In this day and age, we all thought it was a thing of the past, but the former RTE pundit has been extremely active on twitter this week calling out these hate images and rightful so. These images should be shared, because this isn’t culture it’s hate!

Lovely celebration of culture during the main 12th July parade yesterday as bandsmen sing “I would rather be a Paki than a Taig.” The band has been invited onto @ClaireByrneLive to perform this & other songs including “Up to our knees in fenian blood” pic.twitter.com/b4hD5ilIC1

Lovely advertisement for the kids bonfire at Glencairn. Described as a “mini fun day”. Heartwarming. pic.twitter.com/pTx82ztuJU
