West Brom are closing in on Wigan’s James McClean after agreeing a fee with the Latics.
It is understood that the Baggies have had an offer of £1.5million accepted with the winger set to become boss Tony Pulis’ first summer signing.
Wigan are preparing for life in Sky Bet League One after they were relegated from the Sky Bet Championship last season.
McClean failed to save them from the drop despite scoring six times while playing under three managers.

The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international has netted 10 goals in 86 games since moving from Sunderland in 2013.
Pulis has targeted the wide areas to strengthen the Baggies after they finished 13th in last season’s Barclays Premier League.
McClean will be the second Wigan winger to move to the Hawthorns this year after Callum McManaman’s January switch.
James McClean would be a step up from we have, which is 1 winger. Squad game. Wingers are inconsistent, all of em. Positive signing IMO #wba

Supposed #NYRB target James McClean is close to joining #WBA. Can't say I've ever been sold on him as a Premier League player.

West Brom close to signing James McClean according to Sky. Fee in region of £1.5m. Could see him being a Tony Pulis kind of player alright.
