YouTuber Jake Paul has finally had his wish come through as he’s been booked to fight a former Bellator champion in a boxing match but – it’s not Conor McGregor.
Paul has been booked to fight former UFC fighter Ben Askren in an eight-round pro boxing match on April 17th.

The internet personality had perviously and very publicly called out UFC star Conor McGregor in a foul-mouthed call out video where the 24-year-old insulted not only the Irish man but his wife also.
It’s no surprise McGregor didn’t entertain the YouTuber’s amateur call out attempts and as a result Paul has had to settle for Askren.

The fight will take place under the Triller Fight Club banner and will serve as the main event as well as it being Paul’s first fight against an actual professional fighter.
According to ESPN the fight will be fought with 10-ounce gloves in a 20-by-20 ring. The bout will also be Askren’s first as a pro boxer.
When asked about the upcoming event Askren said: “I know Jake Paul is enjoying pretending he is a fighter, I think on April 17 he is going to have a rude awakening to what being a fighter is really like. Jake has led a privileged life and doesn’t really know what the meaning of being a fighter is. I’m going to put his dreams to an end.”
