Awful news has come of the racing world with the passing of Jack De Bromhead son of Henry De Bromhead, only 13 years of age!
The teenager sustained fatal injuries in an incident that occurred while jockeying at the Glenbeigh Festival, which began on Saturday and had been due to take place as well on Sunday.
All further events at the Glenbeigh Racing Festival on Rossbeigh Beach this weekend have been cancelled following the tragic death of 13-year-old jockey Jack de Bromhead.
This is truly awful and we are thinking of his parents and close family and friends at this time, a young boy with his whole life in front of him and a tragic/freak accident. Life sometimes just isn’t fair.
The pony racing community are heartbroken after a tragic accident at Glenbeigh today.
Please give time for family and friends to be notified. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved. Rest in peace. 😢 😢 😢 😢
