Irish international rugby player made his Super Rugby debut yesterday

Irish international rugby veteran Rob Kearney has made the switch to Super Rugby and he made his debut at full back for Western Force in last night’s game.

Fans were ecstatic to see him back playing again as he took a back seat in Leinster and Ireland after the emergence of young full back Jordan Larmour. He proved with this change that the 34 year old still has plenty gas left in the tank.

Western Force were unable to defeat the Brumbies with the final score finishing at 27-11 but that didn’t stop Rob Kearney from making records as he became the oldest back to make his debut in Super Rugby.

The international expert will be hoping to bring experience to the Force back line as they hope to make a good come back to Super Rugby after being axed in 2017.

Being outside of the top league for the last four years, the side will take time to settle and acclimatise with Irish fans keeping a keen eye on the Australian side.
