According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Serie A and globally recognised football club Inter Milan are planning to change their club name and crest to celebrate to commemorate their 113th anniversary.

The club’s official name will reportedly go from “Football Club Internazionale Milano” to “Inter Milano” and a new badge to go with the new name is due to be unveiled in early March 2021 which will be 113 years since the club was first formed.

Inter Milan or ‘Inter’ as they are often referred to are currently in a legal battle with the newly former MLS club Inter Miami after the Italian giants claimed the term ‘Inter’ is solely associated with their club and they are suing David Beckham’s franchise for trademark infringement.

Milano will be hoping to have similar success to fellow Serie A giants Juventus who switched to a more minimalist in 2017 which the Turin club believe has helped in attracting modern sponsors and globalising the Juve brand.
