Graham Potter vented his frustration during a press conference before his side’s FA Cup clash with Manchester City.

Potter has had a rough start at Chelsea since leaving Brighton to replace Thomas Tuchel in the summer.

The London side currently sits 10th in the league and looks a long way off from qualifying for Europe by the end of the season.

Potter hasn’t been helped by the staggering amount of injuries that his side has suffered in the past few months. Their injury list now has ten senior players on it and they have been without the likes of N’Golo Kante, Reece James and Mason Mount.

To make matters worse, Chelsea suffered a double injury blow in one game with Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic being forced off the pitch against Manchester City.

Speaking to the press after the game, Potter who is usually calm, cut a very frustrated figure. Hitting out at the media and their ‘stupid’ questions.

“There are times when you get cross and you get angry. But my responsibility is to speak [to the media] in as respectful a way as I can, even though some of your questions are stupid,” Potter said.

“I have got to answer them as best I can and as respectfully as I can, because I represent a fantastic football club and I have got that job to do.”
