“The stats say that Everton had 17% possession, so they did not want to take Liverpool in a game of football. The goalkeeper was just launching it forward at each opportunity.
“When a team comes away from home and don’t have the ball, when they lose possession, they are vulnerable to losing the ball, and that happened today with Everton.
“They just sat in there, and got down the left a couple of times with Anthony Gordon. The top teams find a way, and Liverpool found a way.”
