Star referee David Gough has had a pop at Croke Park and the GAA as they are looking to sell off some of their seats in the stadium. The Meath native has said the following, see it below and somme of the comments to go with it ..

Imagine if @CrokePark did something generous for a change instead of making money. Gift a pair of seats to lucky schools, who could use them as Buddy seats on yard…..if a child sits on it during playtime, schoolmates notice they have nobody to play with and invite them to join. https://t.co/safz8957dG

I saw this earlier and am very disappointed. Grab all association in full flow with this one. Have they not made enough from the people who sat on these seats???
How much do they already give to charity? How come the GAA has to do everything for free? Why not ask the same questions of other sports?
Very good idea David but you have to also bear in mind that they have built feet/ stands for the chairs which must have cost money. Maybe they will recoup that cost by selling some and then donate the rest?
Just work out how many seats then ÷ 32 ask county boards to put schools into a draw for a pair of seats. Could see seats painted in county colours primary children learning about their county daily by seeing colours crest in school on Buddy seats
