The league finals took place at the weekend and for the Division One final on Sunday there was just over 21,000 people in attendance, fairly shocking to be honest.

Offaly and Kildare would have filled ‘O Moore Pk, Portlaoise, Kerry and Mayo would have filled Pearse Stadium Galway or Gaelic Grounds Limerick, but if any those venues were chosen and they were full people would probably say “oh they should have been in Croke Pk” 🤷🏻
In 2003, 54,000 people watched Dublin play Armagh in an OPENING league game in Croke Park, more than all but one of the finals you’ve mentioned 😮
Big part of this year low attendance down to the bad press the league final received imo over the last few weeks and media reporting that teams essentially don’t want to be in it (also this year game was preceded by Division 3 rather than Division 2 final)
