FOUR top European clubs (for some reason) keen on monumental Chelsea transfer flop

There doesn’t appear to be any shortage of interest in signing transfer flop Timo Werner from Chelsea this summer.

Werner was widely regarded as one of the best strikers on the planet during his time as an RB Leipzig player. He was certainly among the most prolific.

Having earned a move to Chelsea, you’d have expected him to go from strength to strength, but Werner has monumentally flopped at Stamford Bridge.

The expectation is that Chelsea will look to ship him on before the summer is done – and there’s no shortage of interest in securing his services.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid, of all clubs, are understood to be leading the race to sign Chelsea’s ten-league-goals-in-fifty-six-appearances striker.

They’re not alone in the running, either, with Juventus, RB Leipzig and Newcastle United all also said to be interested in signing the German.

We’re not entirely sure how he has managed to generate that level of interest, but Thomas Tuchel will not be complaining, that’s for sure…
