A report published by Barcelona has revealed that the La Liga giants still owe Liverpool millions of euros for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho according to Marca.

Coutinho joined the Catalans in January 2018 for a club record fee of €120 million but it has been revealed that Barcelona still owe the Premier League champions €29 million.

In the report it shows that Barcelona owe a total of €126 million to 19 clubs with the highest outstanding debt being the €29 million still owed to Liverpool for the Coutinho deal.

Since his transfer the attacking playmaker hasn’t made the impact that was expected and even spent the entire 2019-20 season out on loan at Bayern Munich and has been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Camp Nou.

Coutinho had tremendous success in Germany winning the coveted treble with the German giants scooping the Champions League, the German league and the German cup.

So far this season Coutinho has scored three goals and provided two assists in 14 games but the Brazilian won’t be making more of an impact any time soon as he is sidelined for four months with an injury.
