Eric Bailly Out For Two Months After Suffering Knee Ligament Injury

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has been ruled out for up to two months after suffering a knee ligament injury last weekend during United’s Premier League defeat to Chelsea.

Bailly is expected to miss up to 12 games which will come as a massive blow to Mourinho as the Ivory Coast defender has been one of José’s most consistent performers.

Speaking after the Chelsea game, Mourinho said that Bailly “feels it is really bad” and the results after medical tests showed the 22-year-old has sustained a lateral knee ligament injury.

“I wanted to thank you for all the messages of support that I received since the injury! I hope to be able to play again for United and The Elephants before 2 months, God willing,” Bailly wrote on Instagram.
Bailly moved Old Trafford from Villarreal in the summer for £30m.
