Edouard Mendy has made one of the worst howlers you’re ever going to see in the Premier League.
Mendy, who is regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers on the planet, is not the best with the ball at his feet.
Evidently, Leeds United’s Brenden Aaronson was well aware of that gap in Mendy’s game, having pressed him hard as the Senegalese dithered with the ball in his own six-yard box.
Instead of clearing his lines and ensuring there would be no danger on his goal, Mendy tried to be clever and instead gifted Aaronson the easiest goal he’ll ever score in his life.
We’re not sure what was going through his head here, but we can add this to the catalogue of the worst goalkeeping mistakes we’ve ever seen in the Premier League era…
