The former Cork goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack was on The Saturday Game at the weekend and was giving out like stink about the stadiums that have been built around the country.
It appears now though that he backed Páirc Uí Chaoimh back in 2017 ..

Donal Og in 2017, stadium seemed like a 'great' idea.

Some waste of money. We need 20/25,000 all seater stadiums with state of the art facilities for players and spectators. Not in every county but shared, ie Cavan/Monaghan Wicklow/Wexford etc. green field sites with ample parking and extra pitches. At least we could fill them!
I don’t think sharing them is a good idea. A couple of big provincial venues and 15-20k capacities after that. But is that not what we have now? Other county baords manage their debt. Pairc ui Chapimh is too big, especially when teams don’t want to play provincial finals there
Donal Og is the greatest disaster that ever hit Cork hurling. All he was good for was picking the ball out of the net after a Paul Flynn special.
