So they’re saying 20% of households have one. There’s over 2 million households in the country. 400,000 dodgy boxes. 1,100 doors to knock on every single day. If a full time Garda can do 20 on avg -> 55 gardai dedicated to it year round. €38k minimum * 55 = €2 million
Literally the only way to combat it is make the genuine product financially friendly. Most people I know have Netflix and Disney especially if they’ve kids……because they’re well priced. If Sky Sports did the same, dodgy boxes would soon be a thing of the past.If the product was more affordable it would half the problem. The price of sky sports and ppv boxing etc is crazy
