It is understood that they are looking into copying a strategy used in Italy, which involves issuing direct fines to dodgy box users, that’s according to The Independent.
A spokesperson for Sky said that if the methods are workable in Ireland and the UK, then they will “look to do it here.”
Currently, it is sellers of dodgy boxes who are being targeted, with three men recently found liable for damages to Sky.
It is estimated that there could be up to 400,000 dodgy box users in just Ireland alone.
