Danny Grant hat-trick fires Bohemians to win over Shelbourne

Danny Grant was the match-winner as Bohemians beat Shelbourne in tonigth’s Dublin Derby at Tolka Park.

The pick of the bunch was his second, a fine curling effort.

James Talbot also saved a second-half penalty to keep Bohemians in the lead.

Georgie Poynton scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 88th minute after Grant had already sealed the three points with his third goal.

The win sees Keith Long’s side move eight points behind rivals Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Shelbourne are in eighth place and they well end up in a relegation battle with Finn Harps and Cork City behind them at the foot of the table.

Cork lost to St Patrick’s Athletic in today’s other game.
