Covid-19 Outbreak In Newcastle Football Club Means Aston Villa Game Is Postponed

Aston Villa vs Newcastle was due to go ahead in Villa Park on Friday the 4th of December, just days away but it has been postponed with no future date in mind.

This is all due to an outbreak of Covid-19 at Newcastle football club. Newcastle’s training ground has been shut down and all first team players have been sent home to self isolate and hopefully slow down the spread of the virus and contain this outbreak.

Several players and first team staff have tested positive with a second wave of testing to begin Wednesday to get a better scope and see how many in the club now have the virus.

The club is working with local authorities to pinpoint the cause of the outbreak and see if all contacts can be traced.

Newcastle played Crystal Palace on Friday just 4 days ago leading many to believe that there could be a major Premier League outbreak soon if it isn’t contained.

More information will be supplied as the story progresses.
