As the club action is taking place all over the country, preparations are underway for the 2027 inter county season already.

It’s being reported by the Evening Echo this morning that former Kerry coach Cian O’Neill will now join the Rebels for the 2027 campaign and their quest to bring the Liam McCarthy back to Leeside in over 22 years.

This is a huge addition to the Rebels cause and one that will be most Welcome, 22 years for an All-Ireland for Cork is a shocking statistic. In Cork hurling is a religion and hopefully for the Rebels Cian O’Neill will the right man to get them over the line.

The Kildare has vast experience in primary football, but has also a nice bit in hurling including the Tipperary hurlers in 2008. Good-luck to him and Ben O’Connor in 2027.
