The former legendary Dublin footballer Brian Mullins passed away last week, Mullins was 68. He was much loved and won the All-Ireland in 1974, ’76, ’77 and ’83, as well as nine Leinster titles, two National League titles and two All-Stars. He was regarded by many, as one of the best players to ever play the game.
He’s son Nathan took to twitter yesterday to post a lovely message;
“Dad, from a young age you always
assured me there’s no superheroes
on a football pitch. Everyone has
two arms, two legs & a head on their
shoulders. What matters is who
wants the win more & ygo is witting
to work harder. I’ve carried that
with me in all aspects of my life but
to me, you we
my superhero
Thank you for everything I’m so
proud of you & love you so much”

My dad passed away from a GBM in June. For his birthday the previous year we put together a video of sports people he admired wishing him a HB. Your dad so kindly sent on a lovely message and made my dad smile.
This time is so difficult. Take each day as they come. X— The Beautiful Truth (@thebeauttruth) October 2, 2022
RIP to one of the greats.
