Barcelona are reportedly planning to re-sign Lionel Messi this coming January in a desperate bid to save their season.
Barca, who are at risk of falling behind Real Madrid in the race to win La Liga, were also eliminated from the Champions League midweek.
Having Barca playing Europa League football is not a particularly good look for those running the club, who invested heavily over the summer window.
Fear not, though, Barca fans. According to reports, Lionel Messi is set to be tempted into what’d be a quite remarkable S.O.S mission this January.

Whether Messi would be willing to make the move mid-season remains to be seen. After all, he’s flying at current in attack with Paris Saint-Germain.
He also has a real shot at winning the Champions League, and with a second club, while Barca are playing in Europe’s second-tier club competition.
As much as there’s no doubt Barcelona would love him to come back in the January transfer window, we’re not entirely convinced this will come to fruition.
