Atletico Madrid player Koke was assaulted at gunpoint yesterday when he was in his parking lot of Olavide Square in the Chamberí district, reports El Mundo.
The event occurred at 19.00 hours when the offender took a watch valued at €70,000 after threatening Koke with a gun while he sat in his car.
After the assault the gunman fled on a motorcycle. It is suspected that the driver followed the Atletico midfielder into the car park and threatened the player with a pistol when he lowered his window to take the ticket from the parking machine.
The assailant put the pistol near his head and said “give me the watch”, which was valued at over €70,000.
Koke last night reported the incident to the police in Chamberí.
Police are studying images recorded by the parking security service and are tying to locate the perpetrator of the assault.
